Sunday August 26th, 2019 Over 60 members turned out for our picnic. The weather was perfect. Special thanks to Janet our Social Director for organizing this event and to our volunteers on the barbecues who persevered against the heat to get us all fed. The many contributions of delicious salads and sweets were enjoyed by all.

Sandwell Green Park, Wed. Aug. 7th KNBC shared our tent with our friends from the Kanata North Transportation Committee. Thanks to Monna KNBC's Safety Director and Barrie and Holly, our member volunteers, who helped promote our club at this community event. Jenna Sudds, current councillor of Kanata North and Marianne Wilkinson former councillor stopped by for a photo op!

Sunday, Jul 7th, 2019 Special thanks to members Mike and Carol who showed us a new and beautiful bike path route back to Bate Island. This amended route will be in our RWGPS library soon. They also offered their home in Orleans for a water/bathroom break. 33 Riders -Record turnout!

KNBC participated in "Cyclofusion" Sunday May 19th, featuring booths and interactive displays from various members of cycling communities in Ottawa and Gatineau. This marked the beginning of NOKIA Sunday Bikedays and celebrated cycling in the Ottawa-Gatineau area and promote Bike to Work Month and Mois du vélo à Gatineau. Despite the cool temperatures and rain, the weather improved later in the morning and brought out some enthusiastic cyclists and lots of young families. Geoffrey and Virginia removed their jackets briefly to show the team shirts!

This ride was originally scheduled to Perth but due to flooding in the area was changed to Ashton.
