Interested in working out your lower-body equipment-free? Here are a few exercises: Squats - Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and remember to get low! The best squats are the deepest ones. Lunges - Stand with feet hip-width apart and take a big step forward with the right leg. Lower your body until the thigh is parallel to the floor and hold. Repeat, alternating legs each time.... Step ups - Stand in front of a stair with feet shoulder-width apart. Step up with your right leg and pause with both feet on the step. Step down with your left foot and then follow with the right. Repeat, alternating legs each time. Wall sits - With your back against a wall, feet shoulder-width apart and 2 feet from the wall, slowly slide down the wall until your thighs are parallel to the ground. Adding wall sits to the end of every run will strengthen your quads, hamstrings, and glutes, improving your speed and endurance. Lean against a wall with your feet shoulder-width apart, then squat until your knees are bent at 45 degrees. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the floor, pause. Push back up and repeat. Dips - Facing away from a chair, sit down on the edge of the seat and place your hands behind your hips. Lift yourself off the seat, walk your feet forward, and slowly lower yourself. Raise yourself by exte...nding your arms and repeat. Planks - On the floor, place your elbows beneth your shoulders. Make a straight body line from head to heels and hold while squeezing abs, thighs and glutes. Russian Twists - Sitting on the floor, lean back slightly so your torso and legs form a V-like shape.
