On the evening of Feb 23rd following the meeting at the K of C Chambers we listened to a presentation by Ms Irene De Souza, a pro life speaker/advocate. Her 20 min. talk centered on the work that she and others of the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform carry out in cities across Canada. She is a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Delta and attending UBC. She is seeking funding in order to continue her work for the unborn. For the fourth year in a row Council #7015 organized the Keep Christ in Christmas billboard project and had a new banner installed at the Peace Arch border crossing. Three other Councils participated this year by donating funds to offset the cost of the month long rental of the billboard. The banner material is obtained from a firm in Virginia and a company in Richmond installs it. The motoring public get a chance to see the timely message as they travel to & from the border.

Over 50 brother Knights, family and friends gathered at the K of C Chambers to celebrate the 2015 Grey Cup with a great BBQ. A dedicated team of guys prepared a impressive meal to top off a great win by the Edm Eskimos over the Ottawa Red & Black. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it another successful event.

Once again several members of the Council manned the grille for the annual Star of the Sea Parish Seniors BBQ. The crowd was larger than previous years and there was little left over. Thanks to Bro. Orlando R. for the photos of "Knights in Action!"

KofC 7015 Worthy Grand Knight, Bruce Ewing, presents a $500 cheque to Marlene Davison, Walkathon Coordinator for Special Olympics, BC.

On Monday, 04 May 2015 in Langley a cheque of $500.00 was presented to Carrie Davidson, the new Executive Director of Signal Hill. These funds will be used in their organization's work of promoting and defending the life of the unborn. (Greg V. Egan - Pro Life Director)

This is an update regarding the upcoming March for Life 2015 in Victoria. I was unable to secure transportation for this event from Star of the Sea Parish to Victoria this year. Perhaps it may happen next year? For those wishing to attend, please contact the Surrey- Delta Pro Life Society at (604) 574-0225. They have arranged for a bus from Cloverdale to Victoria. (Greg V. Chapter 7015 actively supports the volunteer efforts of youth in our community. Here, Chapter 7015 representative Al Whyte, is seen making donations of $200 each to RCAF Cadet Officers of the local Black Knight Squadron and to the Regimental Sgt. Major of the Seaforth Highlanders (who, at the time, was taking part in the regiment's physical training program)

We attended a very interesting evening presentation at the new Pastoral Centre in Vancouver on Friday, the 27th of March. Three notable speakers gave talks on the upcoming crisis of the decision by the Supreme Court of Canada concerning Assisted Suicide & Euthanasia. Some Brother Knights manned the grilles at the annual Shrove Tuesday breakfast at the Star of the Sea Hall. They were assisting the ladies of the Senior Group along with students from Star of the Sea School. About 150 folks enjoyed pancakes and sausages along with our Reverend Fathers.
