The Alberta Government lies. They said the Small/Medium Business Relaunch Grant was here to help small Businesses relaunch from COVID issues. I Applies on Decem...ber 11th and never heard anything from the program and there was no way to contact them. On January 8th I finally found someone in another government department who would give me an email address to contact through a series of half a dozen emails I was told my application was on a senior manager's desk for manual review. a couple of days later I received a phone call to confirm company details. They said my businesses qualified. I would hear in the next couple of weeks. Today February 25 I receive an email to contact them or my application expires. I called the number and talked with a Senior Finance Loans manager who told me that to Qualify a company has to have a minimum income of $10,000 a month. I said if I had that I wouldn't need the relaunch grant. He said it's not a grant, the government funding is a financed loan. So the government lies they're not helping small businesses with a Small to Medium Relaunch grant they in the business of financing loans to medium operating businesses. See more
