Tiny babies in adorable hats are just the best, aren't they? Yes. They are. And the good news is that you will soon be able to decorate babies near you because my Fox Hat pattern is nearly ready for testing! In fact, part of the reason the pattern has taken so long is because I want Fox Hats for the whole family! (Also because I'm easily distracted by shiny new projects ) Sizing runs from 10 inch (25.5 cm) circumference for tiny preemies all the way up to 21.5" ...(54.5 cm) to fit upto a large (24" or 61 cm) adult sized noggin! Join my test knitter email list at bit.ly/KBW-Testers (or click the link in my bio) to make sure you don't miss the call! Then keep your eye out over the next few days. I'll open applications soon, and have the pattern ready early April! Of course, I know that it could be hard to get to yarn shops and craft stores in the near future, so as long as your yarn is the correct weight (worsted), I don't care if our foxes are pink and purple! We'll have fun and knit with what we've got! I'll be looking for two testers per size (all the details will be in the call): preemie1, preemie2, infant (0-9 month), toddler (1-3 years), child (4-10), adult small (including tween/teen), adult large. And a huge shoutout to @athenamariephotography for making my hats look good! See more

Strange times we're living in these days, aren't they? I've headed back to my parents', my childhood home in the country, since both my husband and I can work from home, and the kids aren't in school. There are always things to be done on the farm (yesterday it was fencing), but there is also time for quiet. The horses declined to be in the photo for me (so rude of them!), so you get the view from their temporary pasture instead And I've taken this time to set up a coupon... code for a free pattern on Ravelry (if you're not on there, send me a DM, and I'll hook you up!) Keep yourself safe (and isolated!) and knit through your stash the way you keep promising you will! Use coupon code ISOLATE-YOSELF at checkout on Ravelry, or click the link in my bio! PS. if you ARE running low on yarn, @sarahelizabethartistofcraft and @morehousefarm were still sending out packages last time I checked! They're wonderful indie dyers I've worked with in the past and highly recommend!

Feeling cozy ... and wondering how long it takes to finish a shawl?! No wonder I tend to knit hats! It really is coming along, though. I love the look of it, and it IS warm and cozy already

It's my birthday! And you know it's gonna be a good one when your mom brings over birthday cake filled with chocolate and coffee. It's coffee! Obviously you should have it at breakfast I don't make the rules I'm planning on a quiet birthday with time for knitting. Out to dinner with some friends tonight. And definitely cake for breakfast How do you like to celebrate?

Apparently I'm a Corriedale! What sheep breed are you?

How about some cozy feet on this sunny Wednesday afternoon? The #Fiberuary prompt from yesterday (feet) immediately made me think of this photo of cozy wool socks ... even though I don't often wear my handknit socks I'm sometimes afraid to admit this around other knitters (I know SO many knitters that *always* have a pair of socks on the needles), but I don't typically find them comfortable to wear in shoes, and I'm barefoot 100% of the time I'm at home. I've thought about trying a princess sole (purling the sole of the sock, so the knits are against my foot), or just investing in some more luxurious sock yarn! I'm not sure though. Any sock tips for me? I want to love my hand-knit socks, I'm just not there yet!

What happens when you travel for 4.5 hours to visit one of your fiber besties (oh, and family! ) but you're so busy chatting, knitting, and squishing yarn that you forget to document everything for instagram? Well, obviously you have to take a quick selfie outside the Chocolate Shop!
