Knot A Problem Massage Therapy 29.04.2021

Good morning! Just giving everyone a heads up that as far as I know, clients still need a doctor's prescription or a written referral in order to get a massage. Until I get confirmation from my association that we have been included in the wellness services that are being reopened on Monday, I will not be assuming anything. Thank you all for your patience! Effective immediately, I will be implementing a no show policy. If you fail to show up to your appointment with little to no notice, there will be $50 fee that must be paid before you can book another appointment. If it becomes a common occurrence, I may request that you pay your massage in full at the time of booking, or that you find another therapist. I also ask that you please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time. You will be given a COVID pre-screening form to f...ill out upon arrival, plus the extra few minutes gives us time to figure out payment and get you on the table. Please note that if you do not arrive early or if you even come late, I will still be ending the appointment right on time as I have cleaning and disinfecting to do before my next client. For now, I still don't have a cancellation policy because I understand that things happen and as long as I'm given enough time to fill the spot, I don't mind. However, I may revisit this later if last minute and/or recurring cancellations become an issue. Thank you all for your understanding and I hope to see you soon!

I will now be taking appointments for anyone that has a doctor's note or written referral from another regulated health professional. Please note that I need a copy of the referral for your file and it must be present at the time of your appointment! Message this page or text 7807781190 to book

Hello all! Here is the statement that I received from my massage association this morning: As per the update provided by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, massage therapists are able to resume immediately providing services under the following guidelines: - All clients must have either a written prescription from a Medical Doctor, or a written referral from a regulated health professional (https://www.alberta.ca/regulated-health-professions.aspx)... - An existing written prescription is only valid if issued within the last 12 months. - An existing written referral is only valid if issued within the last 12 months. - A copy of the original written prescription or written referral is acceptable. - The written prescription or written referral must be provided prior to receiving treatment. - A copy of the written prescription or written referral must be kept in the client’s file. Again, I will start by contacting those who have had appointments cancelled these last two weeks before opening my schedule up for everyone else. In the meantime, if you don't already have a WRITTEN referral from your doctor or other regulated health professional, please look into getting one PRIOR to booking an appointment. I will need a physical copy that can go into your file BEFORE I can treat you. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation during this time. Megan

Hello all! It was just released that it is possible that I can reopen soon with a new exemption for massage services. I'm going to hold off on booking appointments until I get more information but I will be starting with those who had to be cancelled due to the restrictions. Hope to see you all soon! Megan

As of December 13th, all massage practices will be shut down for 4 weeks. It breaks my heart to have to do this again but clients should expect to hear from me soon to cancel all appointments for the rest of the month. I hope everyone has a very safe and merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year
