Yesterday I attended my first lockdown protest. Closing the parks was my final straw and I just had to do something. It was a small group of people who came together to share stories from their homes and workplaces, seeking connection and understanding. A family health worker talked about the suicide rates and declining mental health of the families she supports. An 80 year old lady cried as she spoke of her loneliness and how her family won't visit her anymore. A young man t...old us about his health concerns and how his support and choices are gone. I was thankful to come home and see the parks were reopening. Fastest decision change! I have a few hours to myself today which hasn't happened in forever. I love my little kids SO much but I really need some time away. Lockdown parenting is the hardest thing. They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Feels like that with this lockdown. MP's got a pay raise today but now so many businesses can't operate for a month. Toronto patios opened last Saturday and are already closed again. I don't claim to have all the answers but I can tell you something is off here. The weather isn't as sunny and warm as I was hoping for today. But I mentally prepared to take the kids for a hike and I have to stick with it otherwise the whole day will just be yucky. How did you go with the time change last night? We kinda tricked the kids into going to bed "early" by changing the clocks before bedtime But in summer we usually stay up later and sleep in so I don't mind it too much. I'm one of the few people who love the daylight savings system I have one moon frame waiting to be claimed!
