Toss and Fetch disc dog league starts tommorow. This is a 5 week league all levels are welcome. Young and older dogs can do rollers ( a rolled not thrown disc) This is a fun fairly easy, outdoor, family friendly sport. Bonus is the opportunity to get cool photos of your dog! Puppy Classes in Grand Desert NS ( 10 weeks to 6 months of age) Starting Wed. March 24 at 6 pm Covid protocols in place. Message or call 902 233 6434 to sign up.... Your puppy will learn to pay attention to his name, sit, lie down, come when called, go to her bed and settle down , walk nicely on his/her leash. Most importantly your pup will learn that training is fun and a great way to interact with you on a daily basis. You will learn the fundamentals of positive re-enforcement dog training , how to deal with puppy play biting, housetraining, create training, safe fun games to play and ways socialize your puppy . Your instructor Monica Johnny has 42 years experience teaching the public to train their own dogs. She is a professional dog groomer . Over 40 years of training her own dogs and competing in obedience and dog sports and in both the USA and Canada.

This is me, many years ago at Chicken Camp ! What does a dog trainer do at chicken camp ? We trained Chickens ! Using Positive Reinforcement and reward markers I taught my chicken to peck only the red dot, even when there were many dots to choose from ! Chickens heads move fast and a trainers timing has to be quick to capture the right moment to mark and reward that bird ! I had a great weekend learning skills that continue to inspire me to be a better trainer and coach. All ...species of animal, bird and even fish, can be shaped ( trained) to perform a variety of tasks using a reward marker and an appropriate reward.
