It's not every day that one gets to attend a pumpkin wedding officiated by a witch, no less but Wildflower students held one this afternoon at Know & Grow C...ommunity Farm. The farm at Creston's College of the Rockies campus has been hosting students from Creston Valley schools all week, and those students have been decorating the 140 pumpkins donated by Truscott Farms. The ultimate goal (once Halloween is over, of course) is for the students to roast the seeds or make soup from their pumpkin. (Brian Lawrence photo)

Know & Grow Community Farm is proud that we save seed for our own gardens, partner with the Creston Valley's Dan McMurray Community Seed Bank, and teach seed-saving skills to community members of all ages. Check out some of this season's seed saving activities!

What are you eating this winter? Plant some winter greens! Kale, spinach, arugula, chard, collards etc.. can live happily in your garden with a little love and some protection like floating row covers and cold frames. You can direct seed or plant some in pots if you don't have any room right now in your garden.
