This photo was taken a few years back in Mazatlan, Mexico. I miss these warm summer sunsets. Mazatlan has a special in my heart. It was here that I asked the love of my wife to marry me. We celebrated our love not far from where this photo was taken. I have the tendency to name moments, objects, living and none living people. It makes it personal, part of my story. I call this photo 'ocean of noise'. I often found myself floating in the clarity of its presence. The golden evening moments before everthing lay still. Silence, no echoes or coral. The sun bowing out and making way to a moonlit sky.

'conceptual home' explains this photo for me. This photograph was inspired by change. Change. It's inevitable. The unavoidable glance into the unknown. I've realized that I need to surrender to it, while holding on to rare moments of clarity. Little pieces of home that feel familiar. Dim lights guiding you in the depths of darkness. This view right here is one of those moments for me. The way I feel when near it will never change. A memory frozen in time. It's one of the few... consistent moments of life that cannot be changed. Consistency itself is contrary to nature, to life. Deep Cove and this exact view is one of only a handful of pure moments in my collection. My guiding lights. My map. This was the first ever canvas I printed. My work tends to be filled with emotions and memories that reflect a certain moment in time. "Green Therapy" speaks to healing in the presence of natural beauty. This photo was taken a year ago. During this time I was filled with feelings of defeat and doubt. I had just moved to Fort McMurray to start a new job. My friend Thomas Hopkins Photography convinced me to try and capture the northern lights. It was while watching the sky dan...ce that I realized I was exactly where I should be. I felt calm in the darkness embracing the unknown ahead of me. This was therapy at its purest form. I’m starting to trust my intuition, the hidden voice, the moment. I spent hours looking at this photo and not being to look away. I’ve always been drawn to the obscure. This photo makes me feel hope and progress. Frame by frame, I’m drawn to the leading lines, the symmetry. One of my favourite photographers is Hiroshi Sugimoto and his time exposed work. Time capsules for a series of events in time. This photo is inspired by his work, albeit on a subconscious telepathic level. I call this photo Forever Changeless.
