During Lent our Mission Committee has chosen to support the PWS&D project Care for God’s Children in Romania. The Reformed Church in Romania is helping keep children out of state care through Samuel House, a rural ministry with residential and after-school programs for children in need of extra support. At Samuel House children receive nutritious food, tutoring, playtime and Christian care. Children who live in the residential program are encouraged to maintain family ties and return home on weekends. Your gifts help families stay together! If you are able, and would like to support Knox’s Mission for Lent, please send your donation to the church office with PWS&D Romania in the memo line. Thank you for your support!!

Worship for Sunday, March 7 "An important element in developing wisdom, I think, is in recognizing our own potential for culpability. That births in the Christian a great humility, and it draws us to know God and to know ourselves."... https://youtu.be/IsXf0SEzdJE

On Sunday our call to worship will include an excerpt from Psalm 146. I thought that perhaps it might be helpful reading after yesterday's events. May the light of grace grow in you. Psalm 146:3-9... Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them he remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
Worship for January 3, 2021 Today we remember members of our church family who have died in 2020 and other loved ones before God. You might like to take a moment before the service to reflect upon the lives of some who have blessed you and remember them during the candle lighting portion of our service. https://youtu.be/6hY2Lvrlyto

"Should we pay our taxes?" That's the question that the disciples of the Pharisees asked Jesus. I know how I would answer that question: "Of course - taxes pay for infrastructure, health care, and education (among many other great things) and you do not want to get into trouble with the Canada Revenue Agency!"... But Jesus and his followers lived in a different time and a different place. He gave a different answer. Join us tomorrow, October 18 at Knox Presbyterian Church or online at 10:30 AM as we worship and explore together. https://youtu.be/MPppd6OC_3E
