We know many young British Columbians are experiencing stress and anxiety as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, more than ever, we need to prioritize the health and well-being of our children and youth in B.C. This investment will improve access to vital services for students and families across the province and support early intervention and lifelong mental wellness.
Business owners in several First Nations communities in British Columbia say they have seen a recent, positive shift in how the provincial government has been working with Indigenous cannabis businesses to find a path into the legal cannabis industry.
Our government remains committed to improving the lives of older generations. We’re investing $258 million to help keep long-term care facilities safe, hiring up to 3,000 health care aides, and improving care for seniors living at home. We are also raising the senior supplement by $50, the first increase since 1987, helping low-income seniors make ends meet.
