These fellas sure are growing up fast! #garlic

Peas are the only crop that I seed directly into the field by hand. They just don’t work well in my seeder. I don’t mind though, there is something so grounding about digging a trench and dropping in the seeds. The timeless simplicity makes me feel connected to my unknown peasant ancestors.

Some days these days optimism can be elusive. Thank goodness I can turn off the radio and head to the garden. #optimisticgarlic #spinach #farmtherapy

I loved getting your veggies every week, not only are they delicious, but there are so few purchases one can make in life and feel like there aren’t any negative externalities hiding inside them. Today for #csaweek i thought I would post some pictures of the critters I share my garden with. Increasing the diversity of habitats on our farm is one of many ongoing projects that are more about environmental stewardship than the business of vegetable growing. Being a part of that, is one of the things that makes joining a #csafarm so much more than just buying groceries! #ecosystemservices #community #sustainability #pollinators #wildlife

When I am busy harvesting I never have time to take pictures of our vegetables. Luckily for me sometimes my CSA members do! Thank you @anitamariegriffin for the lovely photos! #csaweek #summershare #localveggies

This week is #csaweek of course this is just a silly marketing ploy, but hey, we have to get the word out somehow! So here I am with a Daikon and my cute kid to remind everyone that community supported agriculture is all about knowing your farmer. Who wouldn’t want this dork growing their food? #dorkswithdaikon #csafarmshare #farmingwithkids

Nice to see Wheelbarrow Farm in the news. Some of you may not know that this is the farm I was working on when I realized I couldn't go back to my non-farming life. Congratulations Tony and crew!
