Hello everyone! Добрий вечр! We are КОБЗАР! Your local Ukrainian-Albertan Folk Band! We found our exciting and humble beginnings as three dancers with The Dunai Dance Ensemble in Edmonton Alberta. In the summer of 2019, River(Percussion), Stefan(Accordion/Keyboard) and Sky(Fiddle/Miscellaneous) Took along our instruments on Dunai’s tour to Georgia and Eastern Ukraine! Dunai’s shows were met with so much love and exuberance, and after every show, we made it a tradition to pl...ay our instruments out in the lobby... Which often kept the audiences singing and dancing so long that security started pushing us out the doors!!! We have since grown to five members, adding Oles on Accordion, and Roxy with Vocals. We enjoy playing doors as welcome music for events, aswell as background music for many functions. We are currently working on more Zabava Repretoire aswell.
