Daily Mobility Challenge! Hi everyone! Hope you’re all healthy, safe, and still relatively sane! If you’ve binged Tiger King on Netflix I fear it’s already too late for you. Given that most of us are at home without the gym, I’ve put together a simple program that takes advantage of minimal equipment and works on one thing most of us neglect - Mobility!... I am looking for a few people to test this home-based mobility and joint health program. If you’re: - stuck at home, spending most of the day sitting - deal with joint pain or restricted mobility - want to create lasting habits for taking care of your body - want to learn a thing or two about your body and integrate a mobility routine into your regular training This program is for you! The program will be offered at a huge discount or by donation - just help me iron out the kinks, provide feedback, and get some results while you’re trapped at home for the foreseeable future! Winner of the challenge will get a personalized home training program and virtual one-on-one session with yours truly. If you’re interested comment on this post or send me a private message! See you out there

2019 off to a great start.
When we’re at our best our behaviours match our values. When we’re at our worst - we’re deviating from that - and that’s got to be okay. It has to be okay to have missteps. If you think your behaviours are always going to match your values, your values aren’t strong enough - @sheppardcoach
Altitude sickness: the one thing you can’t train for. Some things are simply out of our control. . That said - conditioning, injury resilience, mental fortitude, and strength can (and should) be trained! . With ski season fast approaching it’s time to put in the work to ensure you don’t end up looking like this Jerry on opening day.... . If you’ve got goals to get out into the backcountry this year, prepare yourself and come in for a free assessment! . Send me a DM more info! @ Annapurna Circuit Trek, Nepal See more

Fitness goals are a lot more varied than one may think (which makes our job super fun and interesting). Training means more than what you see in the mirror for a lot of people out there. We're currently working with a handful of clients training for epic backpacking adventures! From buying a van to surf the West Coast from Vancouver to Chile, Trekking through the Himalayas in Nepal, and cycling across Spain, theres really no limit to the physical pursuits you can add to your ...travels. If you've got a big trip coming up and you want to set out as physically prepared, strong, and injury resilient as possible - give us a shout for a free assessment! In the meantime, heres a great list from our friends at MEC to make the most of your backpacking experience. "See what you came to see, be open and maybe don’t even take a photo. Nobody needs picture proof that you’re #blessed." https://www.mec.ca//16-rad-travel-hacks-from-adventurous-c

Suitcase carry: . One of the best exercises to target and strengthen the Quadratus Lumborum (QL) . The QL contributes significantly to the stabilization and movement of the spine and pelvis.... . How to: pick up a heavy dumbbell or kettlebell, stand tall and set your rib cage (level in the sagittal and frontal planes), walk... and don’t forget to breath. . Add this at the end end of your workout to build robustness through the trunk and lower back, challenge a muscle thats often neglected, and improve grip strength and conditioning. . Pro tip: do it in the forest for dramatic effect. #bulletproofback See more
