Throwback Thursday Shoutout! This recently came back in my Facebook memories and I had to share it: six years ago my cousin Bowie, started her musical journey with me and although we don’t play music as much together anymore it’s been amazing watch her grow and now start her first year of high school. Not only does she continue to play piano, but she also plays violin at school and ukulele in her spare time. Keep up the awesome work, Bowie! True story: I once sent a DM to a concert pianist replying to her IG stories about praciticing scales. I said something along the lines like Ughhh I hate scales! Amiright to which she replied They don’t seem so bad, I grew to like them because she had enough grace (and practice) to recognize skill is built and learning is a neverending process. Building a music studio isn't easy. FIRST POST OF 2020 Officially announcing my name change from @sherrylucmusic to @koda_sound! This has been in the works since moving my home studio to 100 Emby drive back in January. Now I share a workspace with my family at @kodawaricollective and there are so many exciting things to come!
