Split Tooth is THE most amazing book!! Tanya Tagaq has such a raw and powerful voice, as she jumps between poetry and prose she takes you on a journey so surreal. Her words are so vivid. It’s hard for me to give this book enough justice to say her writing is phenomenal is an understatement. A book everyone should read at least once in their life! So come check it out at the library!

Do we have 4-6 community members who can help us in the garden on Monday, April 19 from 9:30-11:30 AM? We need a hand planting a ton of seeds to start in the greenhouse and direct sowing in the garden. All soil, seeds, and supplies will be provided and we’ll buy you a coffee! We have physically distant spaces in the garden so people can work outdoors and apart, but we still ask that you commit to wearing a mask and hold off on volunteering until a future date if you’re curre...ntly feeling unwell or in isolation. Thomas King is a gifted storyteller and wow is he comical. When I was reading Indians on Vacation I quite literally laughed out loud so... many... times!! His ability to address serious political issues seeped in colonization in a humorous way is a gift hard to replicate. Thomas King is truly one of a kind someone worth reading!!
