World Migratory Bird Day celebrates the migration of nearly 250 species. For us at Ducks, this is our Super Bowla day where we celebrate the best (migratory birds) of the best. And the Super Bowl is a fitting comparison because our beloved birds are amazing athletes.
The Kootenays has an amazing volunteer base and these are but two examples of the commitment and passion of all the volunteers. Congratulations Kevin Whitaker and Mark Hall.

As Canada celebrates National Wildlife Week, we focus in on the long-term results of habitat conservation for North America's waterfowl populationsthanks in la...rge part to our conservation community. Last year, Science magazine reported that 3 billion of North America’s birds have vanished since 1970. But because of investments in wetlands and associated habitat, waterfowl numbers are up 56 per cent. The pattern is clear: when we take action, birds recover.
