Kootenay Cider Works 01.05.2021

Bring on the fermentation! This years crop yielded 8000L of apple juice, which was pitched with the EC1118 champagne yeast on Thursday. We have cider for sale at Nelson Liquor Store in the mall, and at The Grand Liquor Merchants too!

Getting close to completion! Selkirk Paving starts next week on the driveway, and we’re into the final touches for our occupancy permit. In the meantime, Nelson Liquor Store, and Grand Liquor Merchants have our cider for sale!

Game on! After two years of digging, building, prepping, pushing, planting, prodding (and spend spend spend), the labels are here!!! I am sooooooo fricking happy :) Labelling of the cider bottles starts tomorrow, and next stop is the local Nelson liquor stores. Thanks for your patience everyone!

Cidre Bouche label...coming to a private liquor store or restaurant in Nelson soon! Just waiting on the labels being printed. So very close to being done, hang tight everyone! Almost there :)

Here are the draft versions of our 500ml bottle labels. A few tweaks to make to the two labels. Apple cider, and raspberry cider, will be the first two ciders we’ll be releasing as soon as labels are printed. You can try the Three Peaks Raspberry at Broken Hill or Backroads Brewing where they have it on draught. Cheers!

Yay! We got our Skus! These lovely little #’s issued by the Liquor Distribution Board mean we can start printing our labels. Thanks for your patience everyone, our cider is on its way to your local Nelson private liquor store soon :) Mid-September is our hope.

Got backyard apples, and you live in the Nelson area? Just a heads up that starting in mid-September, we’ll be looking for backyard apples to make more cider. Last year we collected 12,000lbs from Nelson area! Woohoo! Info& details to follow in August.
