Safety Announcement To anyone recreating at St.Mary's lake at the Regional Park area.. Do not ever go right of the wooden pilons. The ice is very thin in spots. There is a current there that keeps the ice from forming and the risk is extreme. ... Left side is definitely not 100% safe either as there maybe some thin spots and submerged pilons with ice domes. Try to always walk where others have already walked and your chance of falling through is greatly reduced. To anyone walking dogs out there, keep your dog's on a leash and especially keep your dog's away from the pilons. The ice does not form around them for about 3ft. I personally witnessed a dog fall through at the pilons last week and braved myself to help rescue it. Please pass this along to anyone enjoying that part of the lake
