Hello fellow sailors, The Grey Creek Regatta is this weekend and we are terribly excited for probably our favourite regatta of the year! We have a few updates and reminders for you before the big weekend. After much thought the KLSA Executive has decided to cancel the BBQ on the Saturday due to the recent increase in Covid 19 cases in BC. As an organization we think it's best to be cautious going into flu season as well as respect that we are visiting a community outside of ...Nelson at a small campground. All those who prepaid for the BBQ will be reimbursed. We are asking that you respect the following guidelines during the Grey Creek Regatta: - Maintain 2m physical distancing with those outside your crew/family - Where physical distancing is not possible (on the dock, in the washrooms etc.) we recommend wearing a mask - Only skippers are to attend the skippers' meeting - Sanitize your hands before and after touching/using anything communal Please help us contribute to a safer Grey Creek Regatta by respecting these guidelines :) Can't wait to see you all there! Your KLSA Executive See the full notice of race: www.kootenaylakesailing.ca/20//18/gray-creek-regatta-2020/

Hey everyone. A boat was found this morning floating down the river near Grohman Creek. Someone saved it from hitting the rocks and has put a makeshift anchor on it to keep it from floating further or hitting the rocks. The boat is all white, no sails on it. If this is your boat please call 352-7786 and go rescue it!
