Stories of Mount Saint Francis Hospital: 1950-2005 is completely written, professionally edited, and is ready for the next stages of design and printing. We need your help to raise the funds, please spread the word! We have already received a generous donation of $7,000 from the Sisters of Saint Ann (Victoria). THANK YOU! The book consists of stories and photos about the unique culture, the people who worked and resided at the former hospital, and the compassionate values the...y brought to their work in extended and acute care. The book has heritage and cultural value for readers who may not know that the former hospital comprised a multicultural community with many generations of families who worked there, and is in itself a heritage building. The book has educational value for people or students hoping to work in extended care or with seniors. When the pandemic is over, the sponsors hope that the book will spark many community gatherings and events. Donations and inquiries can be directed to Deb Zeeben, chair of the board of First Health Co-op. ([email protected]) ph 250-825-9560
