So no sooner during a power outage do we reschedule patients and I send staff home ..... then the power goes back on! Kootenay Therapy Center is closed for today ...... let’s enjoy some good weather while we have it! We will return bright and early - 8 am Wednesday morning!

We have been so fortunate to have Jessica Hewison spend the last four months at Kootenay Therapy Center. Jessica is a kinesiology student at the University of Regina, and this is the final four months of her degree. She has completed an amazing project for us to all benefit from. Jessica is a Cranbrook girl and I am confident we will continue to see her around in the future! Thank you Jessica for sharing your time with us! We are so proud of you Jessica! I do my best to remember to always wear a mask in public indoor spaces. I’m often asked if I believe in all of this...... and the fact of the matter is that yes I do. Many may disagree, but those that know me will also know that I love to look for and read good research. I’m very discriminating regarding that. And masks help!... All staff and clients at Kootenay Therapy Center are required to wear masks. This is a requirement of WorkSafe BC for the protection of all staff and clients. Until now, I have been able to provide masks for everyone. However, at $2/mask, this has become unsustainable. As of September 1, anyone who does not wear their own mask, can purchase a surgical mask for $2, or reschedule for a Telehealth visit, a phone consultation or until a later time. I look forward to the time that we don’t have to do this.... but for now, I encourage everyone to continue to live safely so we can see that day and many more!!! Have a safe and happy summer!
