This headline is based on what I’m hearing at the doors. We need new ideas at City Hall and we have to focus on getting positive results for the communities in Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry. www.peterkoroma.ca

I went to the Culture Days kick-off at The Forks, and Bubba B the MC made it fun for all the families there. Winnipeg celebrates multiculturalism better than any other city, and we should promote our arts and culture in more visible ways. www.peterkoroma.ca

Leadership is about getting results. I have the most progressive record on the ballot and decades of public service experience in Winnipeg. My platform includes more support for drug rehab programs, more transparency at City Hall and long-term infrastructure planning for our growing city. Visit www.peterkoroma.ca for more information. On Oct. 24, vote for a new voice with new ideas. Vote Peter Koroma for City Councillor.

I am running for City Councillor because nothing is more rewarding to me than serving the public and getting positive results for people in need. The first Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry debate was a great event. Thanks to the Earl Grey safety committee for organizing this forum. I covered the need for a full and final BRT plan, increasing support for drug rehab programs and modernizing City services, among other issues. More than anything, I love solving people’s problems and that’s what I will do as City Councillor. #wpg18 www.peterkoroma.ca

Small businesses are the heartbeat of our economy in Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry. As City Councillor, I would work to increase foot traffic and reduce red tape. Visit www.peterkoroma.ca for more information. On Oct. 24, vote Peter Koroma for City Councillor.

It has been a rewarding and challenging experience to campaign across the Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry ward. I started this campaign promising to listen to voters, and my platform is the result of those conversations. People are genuinely worried about the drug situation in our city, specifically regarding methamphetamine use on the rise. In response, I support a safe injection site to actively take drug addicts off the street and get them into rehab. I have always believed we ...can end homelessness in Winnipeg, like they have in Medicine Hat. Roughly 1500 people who have to live on our streets can and should be housed this will save us money in the long run and it's the right thing to do. This message resonated with voters on the doorsteps. Our small businesses in key areas like Osborne Village and The Forks are suffering due to poor municipal planning. I started this campaign committing to improve this situation and actively work with business owners to make change. Members of the community are concerned about what so many vacant buildings mean for their future neighbourhood. I believe City Hall must look at our by-laws that allow for so much vacancy and update them to be more strict. I am an advocate who will always listen to the concerns of the community when looking at development. These are just a few of the issues that came up during this campaign, and I was so encouraged by my conversations. Together, I know we can improve Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry and improve Winnipeg. The entire platform is available at www.peterkoroma.ca. Tomorrow, we get out the vote! Let us know if you need a ride by emailing [email protected] or calling 204-792-2622.

I joined the Make Poverty History rally at City Hall today. We must end homelessness in Winnipeg and work to make poverty history in our city. As City Councillor, I would work closely with the community groups already doing amazing work on the ground. We can do more to end poverty.

Sharing my thoughts with the supporters and volunteers who joined me for our fundraising concert with local artists. I spoke of the many issues facing Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry, especially the need to get control of drugs and end homelessness in this city. #wpg18
