I started kpure at the age of 37.... I never, ever would have guessed at any stage in life that I would sell deodorant on the internet. I did always know that I would own my own business. If youre 18 and you dont know what you want to do with your life, thats ok! Try a ton of things until you figure it out. If youre 45 and want to start something new, do it! If you already have a job and bills to pay, work it as a side hustle until youre ready to make it your full time gig. Four and half years ago I launched the kpure website. I was making deodorant and body butter in my Kitchenaid mixer and blending essential oils by the drop. The first year was a blur, with four young kids and a busy gym business during the day, and mixing potions and picking orders all night. Sleep was scarce but every month I convinced myself that this was just a temporary gig and people would buy my products once or twice and move on. I eventually had to choose between t...he fitness business and kpure, something I never imagined having to do. Its a scary, exciting, sometimes lonely ride when you head in a direction you hadnt expected, but if youre starting a business or following a dream that seems impossible right now, KEEP GOING. My best advice is to reach out to someone you admire, even if they arent in the same business as you, and ask to take them for coffee. Hello! Im Karen, the creator of kpure naturals. ... I have a daughter who likes to be in photos (Little K) and three boys, ages 9-12, who arent so eager. I accidentally started kpure in January 2016 as a way to promote my fitness studio. I sent some KP naturals lip balm and sugar scrub along with fitness passes to local businesses. When I made the life changing decision to leave my life as a personal trainer and bootcamp instructor to sell deodorant on the internet, my biggest hesitation was: how will I ever translate this community of like minded people who support eachother, into an online community of people who buy deodorant??
