Purchased the wood for the bicycle assembly bench, cut most of the beam in half, then split them lengthwise, so I can start to put together the top (leaning against the ski/storage bench). I also built a jig to work with my circular saw track to cut an edge off boards so they have nice corners for a smooth top surface. Hoping to finish up the bench this weekend.
Just need to do some small touch ups, but the ski/storage bench is almost done...I even put some storage space for some of my frame building tubes...and I need to put some of my tools away
Ski bench is starting to look like a bench...
I have the bench top glued and ski vise holes cut. Next finish the top and build the bench base.
Now that we are moved in to our new place in Issaquah (just outside of Seattle), time to start setting up the shop. First in line is a ski/general purpose workbench with lots of storage, so I can free up space for the bike building part of the garage shop. I am building the bench so that I have a hidden spot to attach my Kuu ski vise.
