Men's cardigan from Bag O Day #527 for Mr. C. He loves the sweater but has since decided he needs pockets. Pocket are done. Just need to sew them on. Used 3 cak...es of Caron Big Cakes - Shadowberry. Using a #4 yarn I had a bunch of adjustments to make but nothing complicated. Used one of his t-shirts to make sure I had a good base for size. He wears an extra large. Then I used the 2x numbers Crystal provided to get the XL with the number 4 yarn. The pattern calls for #5 bulky. I used a 5.5mm hook to make it. The sleeves, to make the tapering, I go down a hook size for each 1/4 section of number of rows. I take the number of rows and divide by 4. That includes the cuff usually. This way I don't have to make the decreases. I did the start of the sleeves different but won't do that again. Did a Spring basket for our stepdaughters and their mom for Ostara which is 1st of Spring. Bag O Day Easter Egg #585 done in a large size. Used Bernat handicrafter scraps and topped it with ribbon. Doubled yarn means a bigger hook. Believe I used a 7mm hook. Had to go to a larger hook to keep it from getting too stiff to work up easily. Also added a couple of Dollar Tree stuffies made with Zee's lovey design. Used scrap yarn for that as well.

Kirk and I have decided not to participate in this year's art festival. This is due to a few things. We were informed that, due to public request, the tables for items like we sell are no longer being provided. It was felt that it wasn't the kind of items people wanted to see at the art festival. Also, his dialysis schedule has changed and we are no longer available to participate on the dates of the festival.... We respectfully ask that anyone who is able to attend please do so. There is always a large number of very good works of art to view. The event is free to attend. If we are up to it, Kirk and I will be attending on the Friday night. On Thursday night, on literary night, I have been entertaining participating in that part of the festival. If I do, and I can find it, I possibly will be reading my copy of Tylena Turkle's Book of Unsensicleness. Plus possibly some other poems. As always, we greatly appreciate all the support we get from all our followers.

Happy New Year everyone and we hope your holiday season was a good one. Ours was busy with health stuff and working on projects to kill time while Kirk was doi...ng his dialysis. He spent his time doing chainmail projects. I worked on the few Christmas gifts I could handle plus 2 shawls done up for friends as gifts for their loved ones. Hoping soon to post some pics of what Mr. C has been up too, but here are some of what I got up too. Will start with the Christmas stuff. Did a variety of knit and crochet items. 1- scrunchies 2 - tree ornaments 3 - tea towel holders 4 - a variety of scarves, hats and an ear warmer. 5 - one of the shawls I made for a friend, Corinna Skinner to which she gave to her mom for Christmas. Everyone was very happy with how it turned out.

Dialysis might be busying up our lives but I found time to do a project for a friend. It was a small, but enjoyable one. Was nice to mix my creativity with my c...rochet. Used Bag O Day Crochet's, from YouTube, pattern for Easter eggs to create these cuties. The tutorial number is #585. These wedding penguins have inspired me to create other things using this pattern Thank you Lexie Hills for asking me to do these.
