I’ve taken a break from my social media page. It just wasn’t filling my cup and with reliving what feels like Groundhog Day everyday I needed to take a break. But the sun is shining today! Me and the littles are sitting outside having snack. And I’m just thinking how proud I am of this girl in the photos. She was persistent and it payed off, she got the job she wanted! Well lovelies......here we are again. Not where I thought but it’s all good. We will keep our doors closed another two weeks until the 21 of January. Please consider your appointment cancelled, you will be rebooked in the order you were cancelled and please remember that there were a few that did not get in before the Christmas shut down. So I will be doing root kits again starting next week for those of you that need them, I’ll let you know on Sunday what date that will be. Day 4............ 5:30 comes early. It’s the time Annie has decided that she needs to get up in the morning. Bring on the coffee! So we dropped Makenna off at dayhome and Annie finally slept! I grabbed a coffee, drove around like a creep, parked in the driveway and drank a freaking hot coffee. It didn’t have to be microwaved three times, resulting in me forgetting about it. No one wanted a snack or cartoon, dishes sat in the sink and dogs barked in the dog run. You don’t wake... the sleeping baby! Today’s hair required the utmost minimal effort. Didn’t even comb it! I sprayed my roots with my FRESH.HAIR then I took my Eleven Australia I want body volume power and sprayed it everywhere. I raked my fingers through my hair, gathering it and securing with my Invisibobble scrunchie. I used UN.DRESSED in my ponytail ends. UN.DRESSED is a firm elastic paste, with flexible hold, it’s designed to put spring and stretch back into the hair to create a loose undone looks that are still moveable and have definition! I use this when I straighten my hair as well. I also sprayed some SESSION.SPRAY.FLEX at my temples and combed my little fly-aways into place. Finishing up with my BEDROOM.HAIR. In four days I heat styled my hair once. I’m not saying that getting to a four day washing cycle is going to be easy, or even every other day.If your an everyday washer it’s going to take time. Your washing away your acid mantle everyday, it’s designed to help protect you. Then it goes into overproduction mode, resulting in you saying but, I have to wash my hair everyday because it’s greasy! My suggestion, we are in lockdown, with no where to go. Get yourself a dry shampoo, tie your hair up and break the cycle! Hopefully have a inspired one of you to stop washing your hair daily! Day 3........... Why yes I am rocking the 90’s bang bump. But, until you’ve had those sweet, chubby baby fingers intertwined through your hair only to have your baby make the tiniest fist. That tiny fistfull of hair goes for the mouth, it feels like your hair is being pulled from your toes. Then their tiny arm with the fistfull of hair start to wave back and forth as they are frustrated they can’t get what they want. You resist every urge to cry and swear, sweetly telling you...r baby to let go of mommy’s hair. When they finally release their death grip you wonder if you have a bald spot. So go ahead and judge me but, those who know, know! Today I used my giant KEVIN.MURPHY comb to rake through my hair. I don’t hardly ever brush my hair, just use my comb. Swipe to see it, she’s real pretty I used my FRESH.HAIR once again, pulled my fringe back, secured with some bobby pins and back combed a smidge. I used a little bit of SESSION.SPRAY.FLEX to tame my frizzies. The I took my BEDROOM.HAIR spray and sprayed my curls. BEDROOM.HAIR adds the right amount of texture, separation and movement for imperfect tresses every time. Plus you can still run your fingers through your hair!

Day 2......... I curled my hair and got to get groceries without any little people. It’s my favourite thing to do these days, I get to get coffee without my little asking for a cake pop and listen to sweary music. However, on this day as I pulled out of my driveway Frozen came on. Did I change it? Nope! Belted out all those lyrics like I was Celine Dion performing on a Vegas stage. I’m not quite sure when I became so cool! I promptly turned on Beyoncé and reminded myself I wa...s still a bad mother trucker. HA! Today’s I prepped my hair with ANTI.GRAVITY SPRAY before I curled it with my flat iron. This is a non-aerosol hairspray that gives your hair an oil-free shine, will hold your style longer, also has heat protectant in it. I use this on wet OR dry hair. Mainly on my hair dry when I’m curling. I then used a 1&1/4 flatiron to curl my hair. I also used FRESH.HAIR on my roots. By far my favourite dry shampoo of all time!!! Hands down!!! If there is one product that I couldn’t live without it would be this one! It gives your hair body, no really it does. Seriously my fav!! Then I sprayed a little SESSION.SPRAY.FLEX on my roots to tame a few frizzes. I also love this hairspray, not as much as my dry shampoo but, it’s the only can of hairspray I’ve actually finished. It’s a workable, flexible spray with no crunch! So so many of you ask how I go 4-5 days without washing. Well here it is! Day 1...... I let my hair completely AIR DRY. Yes I know that’s not always possible. Mine drys not to shabby these days. After two babes most of my natural curl is gone and I haven’t lost a lot like most people do after kids. My hair is finer texture and medium thickness. Keep that in mind when your prepping your hair. It helps to use products designed for hair type to help extend the longevity of your ...style. So after toning my hair I washed with KM BALANCING.WASH ( I don’t normally wash after a toner but I HATE how my hair is after it’s freshly coloured) following up with KM ANGEL.RINSE.All of the Kevin.Murphy products are interchangeable and are all safe for color treated hair. BALANCING.WASH is an everyday shampoo, I use it because it’s a lighter shampoo and ANGEL.RINSE is for colored hair but it’s a lighter conditioner. Then I prepped my hair with........ BODYBUILDER mouse, it’s lightweight, airy, not sticky (like most is) but also moisturizers and doesn’t leave your hair crunchy. It fills the tiny spaces between hairs making it look fuller. Then I spray with STAYING.ALIVE, it has silk proteins to help repair damaged hair, also helps smooth fly aways AND is oil free and packed with antioxidants! I also use YOUNG.AGAIN oil. It enriches your dry, damaged, brittle hair it also helps protects against environmental stressors and heat damage. Prepping your hair is so important! It give your style a base to adhere to. After what felt like 2,267 days at home because of covid, me and George happily returned to work Tuesday. I was so grateful to see my amazing clients even if it meant we couldnt hug and had to wear masks. So we are are going to be as transparent as possible as we enter the new normal at the salon. Please know that these safety measures were created for everyone, not just us and we are following proper guidelines to make it safe for us and clients to come back into the salon. Also, you will be rebooked in the order you were cancelled, some people have been cancelled since mid-March and we are now dealing will 8 weeks of cancelled appointments. * If you are feeling unwell (cou...gh, fever, shortness of breath), travelled outside the country in the last 14 days, come into contact with some who as travelled or has has covid-19, please reschedule your appointment. * We have the right to refuse service * Stations have been moved to ensure proper social distancing * No walk in appointments will be offered at this time * You will be required to hand sanitize upon entering the salon * Every person is required to wear a mask. Including us, if you do not have one, one will be supplied to you for a small charge. * We will not be serving coffee, tea, water. As well magazines have been removed. * No more than 6 people will be allowed in the salon at one time. * There will be no double booked appointments. The time slot is yours and yours alone. * Stations, sinks, bathroom and reception desk will be cleaned after every client. * We will still be offering curbside pick up for product. Most importantly! * Clients must come alone. Please show up at your appointment time, not earlier, this gives us time to clean between each client. * We cannot physically work 16+ hours a day, 7 days a week. Rest is essential to all.

Hello lovelies! We have gotten an overwhelming response to the fact that we get to reopen Firstly, are we excited! Heck yes! Are we scared? A little bit. Have we missed you all? Absofreakinglutly!! ... Second, we are as unsure of what the next step is as you are. We need to wait and see what the province and city has for rules and regulations, what cleaning practises we have to continue with, how many people will be allowed in the salon, this may mean only one of works at a time when we are allowed to reopen. We just arent sure of all of this at this point. Also, because the province says its a go doesnt necessarily mean that the city says its go. If numbers spike in the next week Im sure that these dates will be pushed back. So as of right now, we dont have an opening date. We will hopefully know more in the next week as to what the plan is. So please take it easy on us, we are in the loop as much as you are.
