.The Gforce Racing League kicked off the season at The Lernerville Speedway, in Sarver, PA. John and Terry made the tow from the KSR garage. . Time Trials would find John in P4, and Terry P27. Terry would race in heat 3, starting P7. Terry finished P5, one away from moving up. John started in the 4th position, heat 4. After a fun battle with Chad Cote, and Jeff Flaro, John would lead the important, "Last Lap". . The Bmain was up next, Terry was looking good starting in P3.... Terry was running a solid 5th place finish, until he was hit on the left side, taking him and the other car off the track. Terry would get some repairs, and finish 13th. Afterwards, Terry was quoted as saying, "Both cars were going to qualify, there was no reason for that kind of over driving". . It's feature time where John Short would start in the 4th position. Kevin Fry was slated to roll off in P2, but he was served an EOL, which put John on the front row in P2. This was the opportunity John was given, he took it, and he never looked back. John set a fast pace at the start, doing what he does best, putting the right rear up on, and into the cushion. . John got into some heavy lapped traffic, when a mid race caution waved, taking away a half straightaway lead. On the restart, John went to the bottom to see if it was faster. After a few laps, he decided to go back to the top. He jumped out to just shy of a full straight. . A late race yellow would bunch the field up, and get them ready for a green, white, checkered. Knowing Lane Snook was in 2nd, John took the green, and stayed on the bottom for the green. He then went to the cushion in 1-2, and mid track in 3-4, to take the checkers, giving him that elusive win!!! In victiroy lane, John said, "I'm glad that monkey is off my back"!!! It was a late/early stay in the pits that night!! On to the next.

Joe, and Preston would be in heat 1, starting P8, and P1. Joe ran a steady race, and finished P6. Preston would get to the front, and win the heat. John, in heat 2, started P1. John finished P5. 3rd heat, Terry starting in P7, and Ben in P6. After a few get togethers in front of him, Terry would finish in P...2, and Ben would end up in P6. Bmain time. John Short started in P2, Ben in P6. John worked the bottom like a champ, and brought it home in first. Ben starting in 5th, finished 6th, Joe started 4th, finished 8th. In the feature, John started P13. John was wheelin it around in the 4-5th position. But in a late race altercation with Maxime, John would find himself with a 13th place finish. Preston started in the P4 slot. while having a solid race, he got swept up in the mix, and finished P20. Ben Koelsch, the new guy to the team started in P17, but finished 23rd. Terry missed the start, and it was good he did. He tweaked on the car a bit too much, and was fighting an evil race car, finishing P24. Joe Backus was running a good steady race, starting in P20. When the checkers fell, Joe finished in P9.

John, Preston, Terry, and Ben, made the haul to Limaland, for the final race of the ELITE Series. The team was ready for the show. Qualifying went like this: P6 Preston, P7 Terry, P9 Ben, John P14. The 1st heat saw Terry in P1, Ben in P8, after serving an EOL. . On lap 4, Terry just so got into the side of Kyle Moonen while racing for the lead. Terry got out of shap and had to settle for 7th spot. Ben started last, and drove up to a 5th place finish.... Heat 2, Preston would start from P2, and John in P7, after serving an EOL. Right from the start, Preston would jump out to the lead and would open his lead up to a half straight when the checkers fell. John would finish in P6. B-main time, Ben would start P1. John would start P4. Terry would start P5. John was racing hard with Jeff Fitzpatrick for the lead, while Terry and Ben battled for 3rd. All the guys would make it to the A-main, with John winning the B-main, Ben P3, and Terry P4. A-main line up would put Preston P2, John P9, Ben P11, Terry P12. Preston would jump out to lead the first few laps. He got a tad to close with the outside wall, and would get collected by Kyle, sending Preston to the pits. John was working his way up thru the field, and was in P4 by lap 11. Lap 25 saw John get bitten by the wall also, doing some damage to the front end. John did a great job driving a bent race car to a 13th place finish. Terry would drive his way up to 7th, Ben would finish, P10.

Wednesday night is the Gforce Racing Leagues Elite 360 sprintcars at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. John, Preston, Terry and Ben made the haul. Heat racing action put Ben on the pole for the first heat. Ben was runnin good in P4, when netcode got him, and put him into the wall. He would finish P6. Terry started 2nd in his heat. He was racing real good, but, his fuel guy,(me), missed the 2nd jug of fuel, and came up a few laps short. P6 for him also. Heat 3 had john P1, and Pre...ston P2. John would win, and Preston would finish in P3. Ben and Terry would race in the BMain. P4 for Ben, P5 for Terry. Ben would finish P5, Terry had the wrong pit strategy, again. Feature time,...John would be P3, Preston P9, Ben P17, and Terry would be shotgun on the field. John would do what he does best, and put it on the highside. Preston rollin the middle, Ben and Terry trying to keep it clean in the back. There was great racing on every lap, from the front to the back. A lap one altercation, would have sent john to the rear, but the yellow came out, and he was given his spot back. Preston was racing hard in P8, while Terry was biding his time. Ben would have a steady run all feature, and bring it home in 13th. On lap 28, Terry's night would end, after some great side by side racing with Jeff Barker, and Chris Steele. Jesse Bandy would get hit, and slide back onto the track right in front of Terry, with nowhere to go. That would send Terry to the pits and on the trailer. Meanwhile, up front, John would score a podium finish with a P2. Preston rounds out the team, with a great run, finishing, P6.

Series, in their final race, The Tar Heel Finals. Started on the pole, and led for most of the way. A late race caution, tightened the field up with 15 to go. Trent went to the top, and Terry stayed low. The top got quicker, and Trent went by Terry for the lead. Terry brought it home in 2nd place. Terry, Mike Cranmer and Ben K., loaded up the midgets and went to Lernerville Speedway with the Gforce Racing League midgets. Ben never got to fire his car, as he was having techni...cal difficulties. the starting line up for the feature, would put Terry 6th, and Mike 12th. The green flag dropped, and Terry wasted no time getting into P3. In front of him, Stephen Spies, and Craig Silby, were racing hard for the lead. Terry caught them, and it looked like it was going to be a 3 car race. Craig got ahead of Stephen, as Terry was right behind them looking for a way to pass them. He put it in the dirt a few times, coming out of turn 2 to get passed Stephen, but just couldn't find the opening. At the end, Terry would finish P3, and Mike would bring it home in 12th. Mike probably would have had a better finish, but he got landed on as a car was coming out of the pits. On to the next!!
