Tomorrow (Saturday - October 9, 2021) we are organizing a virtual 'Durga-Puja' this year with the presence of EC, AC & TC members along with a very handful essential volunteers. Again, we will follow all the covid related protocols and gathering restrictions imposed by our Govt. We are bringing all IDOLS out for this puja tomorrow and will live stream the major portions of the rituals through this FaceBook page. We will have 'Maha-Ashtami'r Anjali' live streamed @ 1:30 PM tom...orrow so that anyone interested can offer 'Anjali' from their home at that time. Also, we have our 2021 annual magazine already printed and ready to be distributed. As per our previous email, we will deliver the magazines to the members who have paid their 2021-2022 membership fee by yesterday and/or who have consented to publish their family photo by donating $100. If you couldn't pay the annual membership fee yet, you can still do so and can get your magazine anytime or even in 'Kali-Puja' (if situation permits) on November 19 & 20, 2021. Decision and details of this event will be communicated later. Until then, please stay safe & healthy and take care of yourself and your family members.

Dear friends, We are extremely sorry to let you know that unfortunately, we have decided to CANCEL this year's Durgapuja due to the current pandemic situation in our province. We did try our best to measure all the possibilities of hosting the event and after a careful review of the guidelines and restrictions currently in place, we had no other option but to take this heartbreaking decision. But we have decided to do the following - - Our 2021 annual magazine will be printed... & published and we will deliver the copy of the magazine to our members. - We will publish the family photos of the members' who already provided the photos and gave consent to do so, irrespective of their decision of donating $100. But if you would like to pay for this, please e-transfer to [email protected] or mail a chq (payable to KRISHTI) to 15848 13 Ave SW; Edmonton, AB, T6W 2N5, Canada. Please mention your email address in the e-transfer or write it on the chq so that we can email you the official receipt in time. - We are also collecting 2021-2022 membership fees ($40/family & $20/single). If you didn't pay the annual membership yet, we will request you to do so by e-transferring to [email protected] or mail a chq (payable to KRISHTI) to 15848 13 Ave SW; Edmonton, AB, T6W 2N5, Canada. Please mention your email address in the e-transfer or write it on the chq so that we can email you the official receipt in time. - We are planning to do a virtual puja this year along with live telecast of the event so that willing members can offer 'Anjali' from their homes. We will send out the details including date & time in coming week. This virtual event will be attended only by EC, AC and TC members along with the priests. - We also discussed about the feasibility of Kalipuja in November and if situation permits, we might celebrate this event for 2 days instead of 1 day. What a picnic it was last Sunday! It was not a perfect day in Devon Lions Campground, mixed with clouds & rain, but participation of around 100 people including children, a very desirable mixture of youth and old, dancing, continuous sports, games, races, excellent food throughout the day ending with a BBQ dinner. It was wonderful to see that the children along with their parents/families were loving, enjoying, and performing the various sports/events arranged by our youth secretary, Ritvik Das. Thank you for your participation, cooperation, help and enthusiasm to make Krishti's 2021 annual picnic a super success. Thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors for their continuous help & support.
