It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted anything here. Like everyone else, 2020 left me emotionally tired and to be honest, a little uninspired. My 2020 household was/is bothmy safe space and the Wild West. 2 young children with a lot of time on their hands and not a lot of options proved more difficult than squat clocks and burpees. However, I, like most people, realized that without all the extra-curricular stuff that seems to fill the empty space in life, it became... apparent that our family/people/bubble are the ones that mean the most and should always hold the most space during our busy lives. I’ve taken a lot of the ‘empty space’ out of my IG feed the last couple months that no longer serves me, my goals or well-being. I’d like to continue posting here, as it helps to keep me motivated and connected to some of you who I can’t see in person. So, what do you find motivational, helpful, or even just something you can relate to? Gym/home workouts? Messy house/savage children running around? Healthy meal options/guilty pleasures? See more

Hi everyone, due to Covid-19, all classes will be suspended until further notice. Please remember to keep active as much as possible, even if it’s in your own backyard or living room. The endorphins from exercise are more important than ever right now for our mental health. I will post more workouts here, and on my IG account (@krista.feelfit) for inspiration. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting Feel Fit - hopefully this is all resolved soon and we get get moving together again. Stay healthy! - Krista

The second I saw this graphic from @popuplift, I knew I had to share it. I have spent my adult life studying, learning, and working with bodies; I have 2 children of my own and I STILL knew very little about the pelvic floor until I started researching it on my own. I can’t tell you the number of time’s women have been a bit shocked the first time they come to class and I very nonchalantly ask them questions about their postpartum health in regards to their pelvic floor- for... example: 1)How many weeks postpartum are they? 2.) Was it vaginal or cesarean birth? 3.) Do they know what the pelvic floor is, how it is involved in labor/delivery and, to the best of their knowledge, do they know how to engage it correctly or do they know what I’m talking about when I ask them to engage it? 4.) Are they experiencing any leaking that they are concerned about? And 5.) have they ever seen a PF physiotherapist? And most often than not, a lot of these women feel like they know very little about the entire postpartum recovery and how it can impact them for the rest of their lives. Why is there such a massive gap in the system when it comes to healing OUR bodies after having babies. Why do most women not even know that there is such a thing as a pelvic floor Physio that can probably answer every single question that they may have about this new body that feels entirely (and sometimes terrifyingly) different! And better yet, they will educate and normalize things that just don’t get talked about enough. So, long story short- if you come to class there is no such thing as T.M.I #pelvicfloor #postpartumjourney #postpartumrecovery #4thtrimester #women #fitnessjourney See more

Mamas, I want to support you this year. The endorphins you get from working out are so helpful during this stage of life and the comfort of working out with other parents provides a huge social comfort. Yes, it’s about the exercise; but it’s also prioritizing yourself, which is equally important. Let me hold, wear, rock, dance with your babe while you do you. Peninsula Fitness. 11:00 Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. $10 drop in.
