Market Stats April 2020 . . I know a lot of people have been waiting for these statistics! Wanting to know what has happened with Real Estate now that we are 7+ weeks into the Covid-19 pandemic. . Although my graphic illustrates the numbers for Durham as a whole, as I always mention, numbers really need to be broken down specifically to the type of home and very specific communities.... . For the sake of demonstration, I’m going to break numbers down for you for detached homes in Clarington. . The average detached home in Clarington sold for $625,848 in April of this year. While this average price is slightly lower than March 2020 - it is still illustrating a climbing price trend for this area. This average price is approx 4% higher than the average price in April 2019, and approx 6% higher than the average price in April 2018. . Our real estate trends continue, although the number of transactions were fewer this month (due to the pandemic). Durham Region, and the GTA are still one of the fastest growing and developing areas for real estate. The market is still very active and moving. .
