The Stress test that started in 2018, made it tougher to qualify for a higher mortgage for home owners that wanted to move up. ..That started a "shortage" of homes for sale , since many couldn't afford to "upgrade" to a bigger home/higher price., so they decided to stay put .Lower inventory... Now we have migration from big cities that buyers have sold their homes for much higher price ranges... and have more cash in hand. Hoping this balances out as many of you are having a tough time buying right now unless you already own and have the equity needed for the next one and qualify to outbid the rest! .
