Fear isn’t real.... danger is real. I was told this by a local business woman in Shelburne, maybe you know her, Candice from Nova Scotia Rollie’s. Such a powerful statement

Today is world cancer day. Awareness and prevention are crucial. Most times our lifestyles determine our risk of developing cancer. Keep stress levels down and inflammation needs to be lowered by eating foods that support that. These are two ways to help you help yourself. Resentment is linked to a higher risk of cancer. Get your mental health in check, to reduce your risk. Any reduction in risk is important. Most of all support those fighting the fight and don’t stop being their friend.

I had the ultimate honour to lay a poppy on the tomb of the unknown soldier in Ottawa in 2018. This was one of the most emotional places I’ve ever been. To know what this beautiful place stands for and to also reflect on the tragedy which took place here on October 22, 2014 at the Canadian National War Memorial was incredible. We should all pay tribute to those who have served and/ or fallen, it’s the least we can do. We will remember them.
