Here are a couple of tips on how to start your housing search: First determine your "non-negotiables". (What is important to you?) Second, establish what you can afford. Once settling on these points, most people either select a preferred neighborhood, and stay flexible on home type (ie: townhouse, duplex, detached, etc.), or they start with a preferred style of home, and stay flexible on location.
