Hello everyone So I am currently going back to school to become a Paramedic. I have been asked by a lot of you if that means I won’t be practicing anymore. Of course I will be! I will continue to practice throughout my training and onward as an RMT:) All I ask is for patience. Thank you

To all my clients, I apologize in advance for the lengthy post. As most of you have probably heard by now, the Ministry of Health (MOH) gave Massage therapists and other health care practitioners the green light to open for business. This was verified in an email to us by the CMTO (College of Massage Therapist of Ontario) at 9PM last night. We are all in a bit shock to have had to find out through social media and some of our clients before we got word from the CMTO. For the...Continue reading

For all that are trying to book with me over the last few weeks- thank you for your continued support. This is from the CMTO : CMTO Draft Practice Guidelines (keep in mind, this is a draft): While RMTs in Ontario are not yet able to return to practice, the CMTO released draft guidance yesterday that RMTs will follow when the restrictions are lifted.... This guidance has been prepared based on Ministry of Health (MOH) and Public Health Ontario (PHO) information and resources, in collaboration with other healthcare regulators, and in consultation with the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario. The CMTO is sharing this guidance now, in advance of the restrictions being lifted, so RMTs have time to prepare. Please consider the guidance as draft because MOH and PHO requirements may change. COVID-19 Pandemic DRAFT Practice Guidance for Massage Therapists includes: Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols The use of surgical/procedure masks by RMTs Changing linens, blankets and pillows after each client Rigorous disinfecting of face cradles, stools, treatment table etc. Removing any items that cannot be cleaned and disinfected between clients (e.g. table warmers/pads, holster to hold topical products) When I do open my business again, know that I will have every precaution in place. I will have to raise my rates by $15.00 per treatment. This is due to our current PPE requirements and longer times in between clients due to extensive sanitation protocols. Clients will also be expected to arrive with their own masks and wear it during the treatment. Thank you for your understanding and patience during these difficult times.

Today RMT’s have received notice from the CMTO to suspend non-essential treatments at this time due to the COVID-19 Virus. In order to keep my family and clients safe, I have made the difficult decision to temporarily close until further notice. Thank you all for understanding

The answer is YES. Massage increases circulation and can actually make you worse at a faster rate. Not only is it common courtesy, but it is also important for me to maintain a healthy environment for my other clients. If I suspect you are sick, I will not treat you. Thanks for understanding
