Happy Thanksgiving!!! I’ve had a few people asking me where the heck I’ve disappeared to over the last couple of months I’ve had an incredibly busy summer/fall season, and I have to admit that the overwhelm is real. . Professionally, I’ve had sessions and weddings nearly every week since the beginning of May, which had been AMAZING, but that also means a huge backlog of work behind the scenes of my business. It means editing into the wee hours of the morning and trying to k...eep up with other administrative tasks like checking emails and sorting out my accounting during my breaks at my day job. This coupled with my busier than normal personal life has been a challenge. I’ve had a never-ending parade of doctor’s appointments, blood tests, and follow-up appointments since the spring, but thankfully I’m being sorted out. Some of you may also know that we lost my grandmother the week we visited her in BC during the second week of August. Her health had been deteriorating since I last saw her at Easter, and I’m glad that I was able to be there with her during her final days. . Throughout all of this I’ve been trying to find some balance between work and life. Self-care has been at the bottom of my priority list for nearly a year now, and it takes more than just a bubble bath and a face mask every once in a while to get the neglected parts of our lives straightened out! For me it has meant a more structured schedule and saying no to things when I might not want to, but I know that it’s for the best. Social media tends to be a huge time suck for me, so I have been avoiding it for a few weeks now. I’ve started sending my clients their own private sneak peek galleries in lieu of posting to social media, but I’m excited to get back into sharing and posting again! So fear not, I’ll be spamming your feed again soon!!! I’m so thankful for those of you who have been checking in on me! . I’m getting excited to see these two lovebirds for an anniversary session this weekend!!! Haley and Tucker’s engagement session at Lea Park made my heart soar!! These two are so in love and have so much incredible chemistry together! Meagan and Stephen's big day at Rolling Greens was perfect - the temperature was perfect, the sun was shining, and the love was flowing! These two, their families, and their wedding party were so much fun! We spent the day joking away and I loved how Meagan and Stephen would instantly smile every time they looked at each other! Saturday’s wedding with Meaghan and Hunter was incredible! I had been looking forward to this day since their engagement session last year! These two are the sweetest match and their whole day was overflowing so much joy and love for this couple! I love how personal their day was for them; their wedding ceremony was held in their farm yard before we drove out to the airport to take photos with the plane that Hunter proposed to Meaghan in. Yes, you read that right, Hunter took Meaghan on a private plane ride to propose last year!! The whole day was full of sunshine, laughter, and romance. These two sweethearts, their love for each other, and their beautiful day are exactly the reason I love shooting couples and their weddings! Congratulations on your wedding Meaghan and Hunter!!!
