Take Our Kids To Work Day - November 6, 2019 KRMC was pleased to welcome three grade nine students to the firm for Take Our Kids To Work Day this year. The grade nine students had the opportunity to witness a day in the life of our busy firm, visit a courthouse and view a mock trial, and learn about the steps required to take when pursuing a legal career in Ontario. We truly enjoyed spending the day with the students and hope that the experience provided them with valuable information they can make use of in the future.

KRMC is pleased to announce that Joon Hur has joined the firm as a litigation associate. On November 4, Georgea will be presenting a paper on Mortgages and Guarantees for the Ontario Bar Association. The paper which she has prepared is for a program entitled Your First Residential Real Estate Transaction. Also in November, she will be speaking on wills at the public libraries again for OBA’s Make a Will Month program. Georgea’s practice at KRMC will be primarily focused on corporate and commercial matters, wills and estates and real estate and leasing matters. Most recently, Georgea practiced at a well-known, downtown firm for many years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in these areas of law. We are pleased to welcome Brian Han to KRMC as an associate lawyer in our Creditors’ Rights practice group. Brian joins us after having completed his articles at an insurance defence litigation boutique and being called to the Bar in 2018. Brian’s previous career in the financial industry will be an asset to the Creditors’ Rights team. We are excited to have Brian join us as the latest addition to our talented team of lawyers and support staff.

Jennifer Valliere, Family Law Associate of KRMC LLP, was recently nominated and featured (together with her husband, Feng Chang) for the February 2019 cover issue and multi-page spread in the magazine, Neighbours of Leaside & Bennington Heights. The magazine is delivered door-to-door to all of the families/homes across Leaside, where Jennifer and Feng live. The article’s focus is on Jennifer and Feng’s commitment to their country and community through Feng’s military servic...e in the Canadian military, Jennifer’s role as the President of the Toronto-Leaside Rotary Club, and their appreciation of the importance of family and friendship. KRMC's family law department elected to participate in the Boost Box campaign. Boost Boxes are filled with everything needed to give kids a special birthday party. The boxes are provided to families across the GTA who cannot otherwise afford to host a birthday party for their child. We credit the collaborative effort of Conscious Coaching Inc., Daily Bread Food Bank and Markham Food Bank with spearheading this initiative and allowing KRMC to participate in this worthy cause.
