The Studio will open on JUNE 16th. Online Lessons WILL still be available to those who prefer. Some scheduling adjustments may be made to accommodate returning students. - * - Strict hand-washing BEFORE and AFTER lessons will be observed using provided sanitizer or a trip to the public washroom with soap and water.... - * - The piano keys and music stand will be wiped using a disinfectant wipe between each lesson. - * - All hard surfaces will receive a thorough all-over cleaning everyday. - * - Social distancing while in lessons will also be strictly observed and a behind the line protocol will be implemented. - * - Masks will NOT be REQUIRED but always welcome for your own emotional and physical wellbeing. Extra disposable masks will be in the studio for student use and will be made available at no charge. - * - There will be a zero-tolerance policy for illness during in-person lessons, whereas the lesson cancellation fee will be waived and / or an online lesson substituted. To answer some questions that Ive received: - No, there will be no additional fees for lessons charged at this time. - Yes, you can absolutely try an in-person lesson and then go back to online lessons if you so choose. - Yes, I will wear a mask, if it makes you & your family more comfortable. - Yes, I will be washing my hands between every lesson too. - No, I dont have all the answers but Im trying to make it all work for all my little and big kiddos who miss coming into the studio and making music with me. - Oh, and No Rosie isnt coming to the studio to continue taking lessons with you. Im very excited to check out a few of these events in the coming weeks. Its a great way to support our local music festival, and a beautiful way to expose children to LOCAL classical music without the stress (and sometimes cost) of a concert setting.

Hey Everyone! Just a note of thank you for all my students and parents who have been taking advantage of my fancy new virtual lessons. Ive been using FaceTime and Skype to provide my kiddos with all their usual lesson expectations, but from the comforts of home. Everybody has gotten to meet my dog, Rosie many have been exposed to her bountiful snoring and feeble attempts at stealing Mozart the Mouse. Im just so pleased with the commitment to practice by so many of my st...udents. I think theyve taken solace in the fact that their music lessons have stayed consistent in this time of community turmoil. Ive been welcomed into homes, have been introduced to pets and stuffies, and have had some amazing musical breakthroughs. Please dont let financial strain stop you from reaching out for virtual lessons I will continue to take payments if you can afford it, but if you are a little stressed about your bank account balance please reach out anyway and well continue lesson payments once things have gone back to normal. Love this idea for parents during this time with kids home from school.

Hi Everyone, With everything that is going on with the COVID-19 and the safety of all my students being my main priority, I am going to cancel all classes for the next three weeks keeping inline with the school closures announced by the NS government today. I can offer Skpe or FaceTime lessons to anyone who has the technology available to them. Contact me for more info.... Please encourage my kiddos to continue practicing on their own during this time. Let them know they can contact me any time with their questions. They can also move forward in their piano books and try out singing new songs, just remind them to ensure that everything is the best it can be before moving on. As always, I can also send new music via email and can give feedback via Skype or FaceTime as well. I will not have my students feeling abandoned in ANY way during this pause in lessons. Our fiddle group rehearses here on Thursday night such a great great place and a fabulous piece of news for our local Dartmouth community.

With all the schools & universities closed.... weve decided to close too! All lessons will be credited to next month . Love, hugs, snuggles & warmth on this blustery day!

In a former life, I spent many hours in a nursing home community.... I was able to sit with older folks and sing with them.... and the beautiful souls that struggled to remember their names, their loved ones, their lives.... But remembered song lyrics from their youth. Music is a positively beautiful thing.

The instructions were.... write I, IV, or V7 [chord] in each hammock...... My amazing student wrote them lounging in the hammocks..... #mystudentsarethebest #goofball #musictheory
