I thought that this was sweet
It’s a beautiful morning here. The sun is shining, it’s not too hot or too humid. The only sounds I hear are the cars on nearby roads, the rustle of leaves in the trees and the pretty songs of birds as they fly by. I sat in my backyard and enjoyed my morning tea in the quiet while taking in the beauty of nature. When I finished my tea, I sat on my grass and did a little meditation in the sun. My mind likes to wander and there are a few things I’ve been pondering that I’d like... to find answers to but I just kept bringing my focus back to my breath. At the end, I did a little love and kindness meditation and sent out some love into the universe. When I was finished, I laid back on the grass and looked up at the trees in the blue sky. I never used to be one for the outdoors and nature but lately I’m finding it so peaceful and serene. I lay there for a while and just let myself enjoy it. Now I feel ready for my day. I’m energized, peaceful and happy. This is what self-care looked like for me today. What are you going to do for self-care today? Do you plan on enjoying the outdoors at all? Something to think about on this sunny day. Let’s try and think about the positive aspects of ourselves, and push away those negative thoughts. I’ll go first, I’m a mom. I’m not perfect by any means but I am so grateful that I get to be a mom each and every day. How about you? Comment below with what you are that is positive.
