Hi friends! Hoping everyone who celebrates had a great Easter! We had a very busy and very awesome Easter weekend. One thing that I was excited to get to this weekend was adding the frame on a piece I finally finished earlier in the week. ... I lost a track of how much time I spent on this piece, it feels like it took forever! I was mastering yet another new technique, this time it was painting with pallet knives from start to finish. It took me a couple of months to really get the touch required for the technique, but once I started to figure it out I had so much fun with it, especially with mixing all of the wonderful colours and bringing it to life! I should point out that a brush was used for one part, that cute little seagull was added with a brush, but I used pallet knives for everything else. After finishing this piece I want to travel there and take a swim in the lake and then take a boat ride? Want to come with me!? The lake is the Lago di Braies in Italy, It’s one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Dolomites, and is known as the Pearl of the Dolomite Lakes. Please enjoy my latest painting Boats on the Pearl oil on canvas, 14x18, framed. And, like usual, please like and share!

Hello again! As I was mentioning earlier that there was a new painting that I just finished, so here it is! Dancer, oil on canvas, 16x20.... This winter I realized how much I am missing salsa dancing, so I put all those feelings into this black and white painting (probably first of many - it was fun)!!! Please feel free to share it with your friends! Thanks! Gorgeous model is salsa dancer and teacher Sydney Espinoza and photography was done by talented Stephen Chow. P.S. how do you like that frame on second photo? I love it!

Good evening everyone! What a busy day! One of the things I accomplished today was setting up of my new art show! I’m very excited about this community art show at Lois Hole public library in Edmonton! I love this library because for a few years I was taking my kids there every Saturday for Russian language programs! That’s why it feels so good to contribute back to the community. ... If you will be in the west end around the Callingwood area please stop by to visit this bright and spacious library and take a look at my new exhibit.

Good morning! What beautiful weather we are getting in Alberta today! The calendar shows it's the middle of December, but its so warm outside! Back at the end of August I was in between projects and was seeking inspiration! Then I came across the work of an amazing Spanish artist named Jose Royo. I quickly realized that I was absolutely in love with his style and technique, which I call dream woman and wanted to create something similar. ... It was a new challenge for me, the technique was a first for me, even the colours were new to me! I was trying to figure out how was he using his colours and brushes to achieve such amazing brush strokes which inspire me so much! After months of work, I finished my first painting in this style. My beautiful model is my neighbor, I am very thankful to her for letting me to paint her, especially using a new method where we both didn’t know what the end result will be! And now, please meet Annalise, oil on canvas, 24x30. Feel free to like and share this post with your friends!

I took this picture yesterday at the opening reception in the Multicultural heritage centre, museum and gallery which for the month of December is turned into Christmas market with all the handmade stuff! There was life band playing all the Christmas carols, fruits, cookies, crafts for kids, and so many cool people to meet! Very glad I took my daughter over there, we had a lot of fun! If you haven't checked it out yet - make sure to find time before they close on December 22! :-)

Hi everyone! Wow, what a busy week! My little baby girl just turned 4 years old, crazy. It feels like it was only yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital; okay maybe a week ago, but no more! :) Obviously having children has changed my life completely, in so many ways. I started to get serious about my art when I was pregnant the first time! Without going on maternity leave, and then staying home with my babies, all of these paintings I love to share with you woul...d not have been possible. Painting makes me so happy! :-) I am so glad that it became more than just a hobby, it really is my calling and I am thrilled about all the art shows I have already had and will have, and all the commissioned paintings that I've done! PS I have had a few friends ask me recently if I still have time for commissioned requests. I am always happy to take on the challenge of capturing an image that you love and cherish onto canvas. I am truly pleased to do so, if you would like to order a commissioned painting, or even a printed copy (giclée) of one of my current pieces, feel free to give me a call! And for now please enjoy my latest paining "Majestic mountains". Oil on canvas, 1216. Please like and share! :-)

Hi friends! What a busy day! In addition to the usual hectic Saturday schedule, today I visited the Multicultural Heritage centre in Stony Plain to drop off some of my paintings! Everybody should mark your calendar right away so you won’t miss the opening reception next Saturday! There is soooo much to see! Jewelry, handmade dolls, hats, really cool photographs, and so many more things! Everything is made by local artists! And it’s a great place to find unique Christmas gi...fts for your loved ones or treat yourself))) There will also be snacks and activities for kids which makes it a great family event! See you there! Please share with your friends so they can attend too! See more

Hello Facebook friends! I have to share this my experience with you! Last night I attended the 4th annual Women and Wealth Gala, and it was amazing. 1000 beautiful, smart and charming women in a banquet room celebrating International Women’s Day, it was so much girl power! Very cool! The event had 3 powerful speakers and such a elegant host Carrie Doll. Jessica Tetu, Jillian Harris and Linda Stainton - each of them have such an inspiring story! ... I was given the privilege of donating two of my paintings (Apple blossom and Friendship flower) to this charity event! They were part of the event raffle which had some really great prizes. By the end of the night they raised almost $12,000 for the Canadian Woman’s Foundation from the raffle alone. Like I said, girl power! I highly recommend you follow the Women and Wealth page and grab an early bird ticket for event in 2020. Maybe a group of us could even get a table and celebrate together next year. I really left the event feeling inspired to continue to express myself on canvas and find new ways to share my work with the world. Also, one really important theme these amazing women shared was to always give back. I’m already thinking about what I could paint to help a little for the 2020 event.

Hello everyone! I really wanted to thank everyone for showing their appreciation for my paintings at the most recent exhibit! Two months have cruised by and the show is now over! I picked up all the pieces up today, it’s nice to have them home again, feels like reuniting with dear friends! :-) The last two months have been very busy, I went to Mexico with my family for a few weeks, a welcome break from this bitter cold winter. Mind you, painting and framing are a great way ...to pass the cold winter days away, I am pleased to have finished a new painting using another new style since getting back to chilly Edmonton! It is still wet, so stay tuned for an update and a picture of it! :-) Also, in a few days I will share info about an upcoming exhibit! Yay! I am always so excited when someone asks me to display my art and brighten up their space! It is so encouraging, and it always inspires me to pick up a brush and paint more and more and more!
