Sometimes you gotta think on your toes to make a magic session like these two’s... @devonyresch wanted workout content for her page AND some shots with her super sweet boyfriend, so we chose TWO locations instead of one and while they followed me to the second spot she did a quick outfit change in the car. It’s nice to feel like something other than a mom. One thing all us moms seem to have in common is that we forget to take time to make ourselves feel special. The fact that part of my job is getting to do this for women makes the boudoir part of my job really special to me! ... How to get the most perfect golden hour photos: Step 1: check on @unscriptedposingapp when golden hour is Step 2: create a list of poses you want to accomplish. ... Step 3: run all around the couple making weird faces and getting your leg workout in just to get the perfect shot. Step 4: spend 700 hours going through the photos because you love every. Single. As I am posting these, my 15 month old daughter is leaning across me with her elbow in my neck and grinding her molars... for fun, taking breaks to say hi. Side note: We traded in the truck that most of you have seen me in for a new (to us) SUV on Saturday! Any guesses as to what it is!? Family photos can be super hard, getting everyone in the mood all at once doesn’t always go the way you plan it... but you have to roll with the punches and come equipped with: patience understanding if someone needs a minute to get in the game lots of jokes ... an idea of who is at your shoot - I like to find out ages & sex and then research what that group likes! 10/10 times, by the end of our time together everyone is laughing and having a fantastic time! @sarah_catherine13 can’t wait for next time! @ Alberta

This gorgeous mama!!! Fun fact: when you book a milk bath through me, I pick up the flowers and milk if you don’t want to! Life gets busy, I get it and I want to be able to give you the best, most hassle free experience possible! Back from the land of touristing and ski busses! It was so nice to get away for the weekend, even with the sketchy drive down on Friday and low mountain visibility up until we left! We were able to meet up with some friends who just happened to be down there at the same time and of course I had my camera with me to get some great shots of them.

Light -> moody -> light -> moody. Versatility is fun, not necessary. Most of the time I have an exact plan going into my editing process and other times I let the photo carry me into uncharted territory. It’s a wild ride being on this side of the camera, but I love every moment of it. ... @kattiebaby killing it as usual. @ Whyte Avenue

Rare post with my face. Do you ever feel like you need a reset button? I do. So periodically my husband & I get out of town and head to the mountains or further for a bit to relax and recharge. ... I will be off social media for the weekend so all messages will be unanswered until Monday morning! BRB while I reset and come back better than ever. I love when I’m showing my clients shots that I got on my camera, and I hear oh wow or omg I love that one. It may not be one that I love, but when it is a meaningful one to them, I do my best to make sure I get it to them fast as a sneak peek or put a little extra editing love into it. When I showed my client this one, she said that is the perfect capture of Dad and TyTy.. and I knew I had done my job.

An old friend reached out to me yesterday because she wanted photos of her dad and his best friend before they have to let him go over the rainbow bridge. I felt so honoured to be able to capture these special moments between Parker & TyTy, there is so much love between these two old souls; made my job easy! OK real talk for a second: I LOVE shooting boudoir. I love making women feel confident and sexy in their own bodies and I personally love the challenge of working with all body types. I am a firm believer that everyBODY is beautiful. ... HOWEVER. I get some reeeeeal steamy shots and sometimes they’re my favourite, which of course I cannot share or won’t share out of respect for my clients... I also don’t want my business profile page to be flooded with just naked people! (Hint hint, book me for your engagement or lifestyle photo needs please!) One of my good friends made an appearance in my sunhat & sundress marathon on the Sunday and I am so glad she did, look at this stunner! I also didn’t feel like driving down to Pigeon Lake again that day so we made do with the river valley in Fort Sask & a park downtown Edmonton! Couldn’t be happier with the results! @ Alberta
