Crystal wanted something special and specific done with an old hutch she had. Denis added the wine rack and I added ‘my thing’ and suddenly Declan appeared. Crystal’s happy. I’m happy.
Restyled this very blah fireplace surround for a client this week. She’s a smokey mysterious presence now. Aphera!
Old Blue Eyes. An unbelievable number of hours went into restoring this flame mahogany bow front sideboard. I named him after my husband cuz it’s classic and yep... totally gorgeous. . Plus the restoration process was as cantankerous as he is so .... Sigh... good thing he’s cute. This piece came out of a convent in Kingston. Now available for $600.
The Bronte sisters are now available. Beautifully restored Victorian style drum tables with shades of taupe and off white. Asking $345 for the pair.
Norma Jean (aka Marilyn Monroe) heads home to adorn the boudoir of her mistress tomorrow. Sacred Sage and Casement with touches of Metallic Bronze. Such a pretty girl.
‘Rip’. The man. The legend.
Remember Frederick the desk? Well this is Thomas, his sidekick printer table, off to meet his partner in crime tomorrow. His top spins around so you can access the back of the printer to load paper and troubleshoot IT issues. How cool is that!
‘Ava’ is going to her new home soon. She went from a wreck to a movie star. Pardon the yellowish shading from the garage lighting. The venue lacks staging perks .
‘Annie’ I so wanted to be her when I was a kid. She’s a sweetie. Getting ready for market!
This lovely old girl got a complete makeover for Sandra. It belonged to my husband’s grandmother and his brother and wife eventually ended up with it. Completely rebuilt drawers, tear drop brass pulls, new mirror and blended paint job with shades of Soapstone Fusion paint and three coats of sealer. I’ve dubbed her ‘Bezut’ as that was his gramma’s nickname. She’s a subtle Art Deco beauty now.
The before and after of ‘Frederick’ (named after my accountant). Ash paint, hemp oil preserving the mahogany wood grain on the top and top three drawers. Roycycled trolley ephemera paper decoupaged on the bottom drawers. Sealed with top coat. He’s a handsome boy now!
Micah - he was just kinda plain and un interesting when I brought him home. A good sanding, some Coal Black and hemp oil made a huge difference.
Sawyer! Brought to me by a client who wanted something special done. He’s got it all now!
