Time to revive some old songs and see if I can find new life in them. Up until now, I've always felt like my songwriting abilities surpassed my actual abilities to bring them to life. While I don't think I'll ever consider myself to be GREAT, I do at least feel like my skills have come a long way over those years.... I sat down the other day to start going back through some old songs and it's giving me a new kind of excitement to see what kind of life I can bring to them now.

Oma's Gulaschsuppe! I loved this soup growing up and my Oma Lore made it perfect every time. My mom has been using her recipe ever since and now I finally got my hands on it! Since visiting family isn't so easy these days, I've found a lot of comfort in making home cooked family recipes. This soup brings back memories of visiting my family in Germany. Grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles! @sublime has played a huge role in my musical upbringing. They'd be my go to for years when singing in the car, commuting in and out of the city. Sadly, Bradley had already passed before I even got into them fully. My first taste of them came from MuchMusic when I saw their video for Santeria. Throwback to 2010, road trippin' through the U.S. This here was on the outskirts of Arizona just before getting to California. I woke up shortly before sunrise in my car, at the side of a highway in the desert. Severe stomach pains let me know there was about to be an evacuation that couldn't wait. I was forced to crouch beside a little dried up shrub, drank some water, shook it off, and walked over to this little ridge to film the sunrise while I jammed out. ... I still get a laugh everytime I see this video, knowing what transpired shortly before.
