10 years ago today we were celebrating our very first Learn to Play registration night! Our founder, Kelly Lynch was very excited to share the news with past Softball NB President, Bev Adams! And that is how it all started! If you are a KVGSA alumni, thank you for your support!

FEMALE PROVINCIAL TEAM TRYOUT INFO Softball New Brunswick U16 and U19 Female Provincial Team Tryouts are scheduled for the April 24/25th weekend at the Irving F...ieldhouse in Saint John. With COVID protocols in place, each region will be have their own timeslot. Athletes who have already expressed interest in either program (U16 or U19) would have been contacted directly by the coaching staff and/or Softball NB via Sportsengine. All interested athletes must contact their coaching staff to RSVP and receive their timeslot / additional information. KVGSA is sad to announce that East Coast Games has been cancelled for 2021 due to the pandemic situation. Fingers crossed we see it back in 2022!

Due to the Edmunston region being in the Red/Lockdown phase of recovery, the Board of Directors of Softball New Brunswick have made the conscious decision to mo...ve our in-person Annual General Meeting to a virtual format. The AGM will still take place this Saturday, April 17th, at 9:00am, via Zoom. We are asking all delegates to RSVP in advance by April 15th, by emailing [email protected]. Please be sure to identify if you will be attending as a Voting, Non-Voting, or Observer and what team you are representing within the email. Those that RSVP in advance will receive a copy of the 2020 Softball NB report and procedures for login/voting closer to the date of the AGM. The report will also be available on our website. Voting eligibility will be open to the 2020 Registered Membership and Board of Directors as per the Bylaws. There are 13 motions that will be presented at the AGM. KVGSA COVID 19 Update: Although the documentation from NB Sport and Rec says organized sports can continue in this new orange phase provided we wear masks, stay 2 metres apart and increase COVID screening protocols, they are also asking participants of sport activities to limit their number of activities and number of social interactions at this time. KVGSA feels that for the safety of all members, the responsible decision would be to pause all organized softball activities for now. Our season is right around the corner and we want to do all we can to help our community get to yellow/green! Thank you for your patience and understanding. Be safe everyone.

Notice is hereby given that the KV Girls Softball Association Annual General Meeting is called for and will be held at the Qplex Alpine Roome, Quispamsis on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16th, 2021 commencing at 8PM. The meeting will be set up to allow for physical distancing. Masks must be worn at all times. Voting Rights Members have the following voting rights at all meetings of the Members: Each age category (division) shall have one (1) vote at the AGM. If more than 1 member is in attendance to voice for that division, a random draw will be done to determine who the voting member will be. Board Members have one vote each. The following board positions are up for election this year: - President 2 Year Term application in writing required - Treasurer 2 Year Term application in writing required - Executive Director 2 Year Term current member is reoffering The election of positions of President and Treasurer will be based on an open application process prior to the Annual General Meeting and voted on at the Annual General Meeting. In the case where no applications are made, the Board can appoint someone to the positions of President and Treasurer.
