Not everything is shutting down next week! Many camps in Kitchener and Waterloo are still running, and so Mindful Makers has decided to continue to offer their programming to families. Please share if you know anyone who is looking!

Maker Expo needs our help! If you want the FREE (admission, participation and parking) show to continue this year, please at least share this plea far and wide. Donate if you can.

We have made the difficult decision to suspend new member applications, tours, training and any face-to-face aspects of our community... again. We remain open at this time to our existing members for minimal project work. We have substantial precautions in place that go far beyond the minimums laid out by health officials. We hope everyone has a healthy and kind holiday season and we look forward to the days when we can meet and gather again. Stay safe.

Thank you to the hundreds of volunteer helpers who have made the #CommunityShield project such a success. It’s been an incredible, inspirational journey of action in a time of crisis. When Jeremy and the team at Inksmith put out the call for people to start printing shields 3 months ago, no one imagined it would grow to this size or impact. The maker community stepped up and responded in force. We made the province and country safer, and inevitably we saved some lives (even if we will never know which ones). As the project wraps up in the next few weeks we want organizations to know that we still have inventory and will keep shipping until it’s all gone. This isn’t over, and we are all #InThisTogether.
