On behalf of all the staff at Hoffman’s Strawberries, we want to sincerely apologize for a misunderstanding that took place in our pick-your-own patch this morning. To the individual who was told that their service dog was not allowed in the patch, our staff member was wrong and has since been educated. We can only imagine how disappointing and demeaning this must have been. If you’re comfortable returning, our staff member would love to apologize to you in person. In addition, we would like to offer you free pick-your-own this season, as an expression of our apology.

Friday, July 10, 2020 update: we are sold out of freshly picked berries at our road side stand, in addition, pick-your-own will be closed due to the rain. NOTE: tomorrow, Saturday, July 11, 2020 pick-your-own MAY be closed if we experience adverse weather conditions.

Our pick-your-own strawberry patch will be open tomorrow, Saturday, June 27th, at 8am! Bring your own containers or buy ours for $2.00 each. Hoffmans Strawberries Update: Today (June 22) marks the start of the 2020 strawberry harvest! We are open Monday to Saturday from 8 AM - 8 PM for both pick-your-own and freshly picked strawberries. ... Fruit quality is excellent! Picking conditions are light, as it is the beginning of the season, and there is a lot of fruit that still needs to ripen. Upon arrival, our staff will instruct our valued customers how to appropriately adhere to Covid-19 safety precautions. Debit/ credit is the preferred method of payment. We are charging $2.60/ LB when picking your own, $5.00 for a single quart and $27.00 for a six quart flat of freshly picked berries. Hoffmans Strawberries 2020 update: To our valued customers, we trust that you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. We have received many inquiries about the 2020 strawberry harvest. We are pleased to have received confirmation through the The Ontario Berry Growers Association (OBGA) that the provincial authorities have given authorization to proceed with this years strawberry harvest, including pick-your-own!... We are in consultation with OBGA and other stakeholders to develop workable protocol for a safe harvest. With the cooler spring, it appears that the our strawberry season may be delayed again this year. The early varieties are beginning to blossom and the honey bees are busy pollinating! Theres still time to pick-your-own strawberries before the season ends! The Restivo family stocked up this afternoon, thanks to their little helper. We are hoping the season lasts at least another week. Picking conditions are good but they will only last so long, so make plans to visit the patch sooner rather than later! ->

The Dudgeon family sure knows how to pick, and of course, sample strawberries. Picking conditions are excellent, but the season wont last forever! Were hoping for another two weeks, but we cant be certain. We charge $2.50/ Lb for pick-your-own and have containers available for purchase, or youre welcome to bring your own.
