The changing of seasons can be one of the most beautiful things about life. At the same time, change can also be really hard for some. It’s almost like nature’s way of making sure we don’t get too comfortable or stuck in one place for too long. As I find myself in the midst of some pretty major changes (including marrying Teanna Sterkenburg ), I can’t help but be reminded of this song. I filmed this video two years ago with my friend Josh Pick (Stir Stick Inc). I remember w...aking up super early so that we could be set up to record at sunrise. This time of year in Medicine Hat is really pretty. In the audio you can hear birds chirping and cars starting as our city began to wake. I later recorded this song to be apart of Slow Down, which I released in 2019. This sunset last week blew my mind. If I’m honest, it’s been a busier month for me. Lots of good things on the go, but some days have been a bit of a blur. I’ve been meaning to give a few shoutouts for Glimmer of Light.... so here. they. are! Huge thanks Jon Anderson, Mason Self, Caleb and Brian Chan for the ways that each of you helped to make the song sound as good as it does! It was an honour to work with each one of you. ... Thanks to Levi Cochrane for going the extra mile to make the lyric video awesome. You seriously crushed it man. Thanks to my friend Erica Fulawka who took the cover photo for the song. It fit the vibe so perfectly. (Also ..... side note... I’ll let you guys in on a secret: that photo of me was actually taken by Erica 5 years ago in Hawaii it still worked so great tho!
