FRIDAY FOOT CARE FACTS Summer foot care Watch out for flip flops: while flip flops are popular and convenient to wear, they put people at risk of developing foot problems. Flip flops do not have the necessary support. A flat piece of rubber or leather does not provide enough support in the arch area of foot. If worn for a prolonged period of time, they can cause severe arch pain in the ball of foot. Also flip flops offer no stability for the foot, causing the foot to move while walking. As a result blisters, or pain on the ball of foot can develop. Flip flop do protect the foot from the hot sand at the beach or prevent the spread of athletes foot or plantar warts at the pool.

Today we said goodbye to Olivia who worked for us for the summer months. Olivia is continuing on her studies at Western and did play soccer for the Western Mustangs!!! She is going into 4th year Kinesiology and may pursue her Masters. Olivia , you came here and picked up things so quickly and always willing to learn. You had such a positive, and kind attitude towards everything and everyone here. We are certainly going to miss you. We wish you all the best .
