We have an amazing country. All we have to do is wake up the #hockeycommunity, and rising to the occasion come all the players, supporters and family who have fought together, mourned together and won together. It’s like making a call to the reservists at the threat of war. Soldiers and hockey players alike have fought and won some of the largest battles; and this #COVID19 battle is no different. We are witnessing the rise of our nation once again. Thank you to Hayley Wicke...nheiser and Ryan Reynolds for adding your voices to the call that has been made in this country. Your voices add credence to ours; add amplification that is required at this time. Our #HealthcareHeroes are in need of equipment to help save lives. We have been able through our network to raise funds to acquire surgical masks and N95s for donation. Thanks John for meeting with me this morning to receive our donation of 450 surgical masks at Abby Lane Health Centre. These #masks will help keep seniors in health care facilities safe from possible staff contamination due to #COVID19.

Through Dr. Hassona at Pharmasave Willowbrook, Langley, we were able to secure 2000 surgical masks to be donated to the Peace Arch Hospital, the Richmond Hospital and Prime Time Living Senior Home #HealthcareHeroes

We donated to the Nicomekl Enhancement Society this past #GivingTuesday. The hatchery has outside structures that are prone to damage with the changing seasons, and so every year they need to be rebuilt. Our donation is going to be used specifically to help with two external structures: a river rock retaining wall and a fish trap, pictured in the background to the right. Both of these structures are crucial to the important work being done at the hatchery. Pictured in the first photo is Doug Preece receiving the cheque on behalf of Nicomekl Enhancement Society. Second photo shows the development of the eggs fertilized this last Fall. They're now in the "eye" phase, and what will become the salmons' eyes can be seen as a black dot. Grow up, little fishies!

Today is #GivingTuesday and we are celebrating the date at Kymar Gutters Inc. We've picked our favourite charities for 2019 and made a donation to help fund their projects and the work they do to improve our community. We made a stop at Sources Community Resource Centres in Langley. Thank you Darcy for receiving our donation and for the work you do at the Langley branch. Next stop was LEPS. Thank you for the work you guys do over there! Also on the list was the Gateway of Hope and the Nicomekl Enhancement Society.

This is an appreciation post to two of our wonderful, experienced installers! Ken Kurki and Dave Cooper are both gutter experts, with over 15 years of experience each. Pictured here are Ken on the roof, and Dave on the ladder, installing White Super Crown Gutters, our unique profile, on this beautiful home. We are proud to call these two hardworking gents our own! Thank you to the Nicomekl Enhancement Society for inviting us to their appreciation barbecue on this past Sunday! The people behind Nicomekl Enhancement Society- from the volunteers to the coordinators to the parents that take their little ones to learn more about sustainability and the role we play in the environment- are doing very important environmental work in our community. The Nicomekl River is home to many different types of plants and animals, among them salmon. Sa...lmon always return to the place where they hatched at the end of their lives to lay their eggs, and with the river landscape not being what it used to be because of man made structures, many salmon are not able to complete their journey. The Nicomekl Enhancement Society, a 100% volunteer run organization, aids the salmon to complete their journey, and provides a safe environment for those eggs to hatch. When the time comes, they release the salmon back into the creek connecting to the river. We had the pleasure of donating gutters to their newly built cover for a new coho tub that uses creek water, and to replace gutters on some of the existing buildings. Once again, thank you so much to Nicomekl Enhancement Society for having us!
